NYE 2026 on Goat Island - Me Mel
Spectacularly set between the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Balmain, Goat Island - Me-Mel offers a one-of-a-kind New Year's Eve experience. With front row views of the Harbour Bridge, you'll be up close to the fireworks and all the Sydney Harbour action.
The event is free and the ticket price covers the cost of your return ferry transfer to Goat Island / Me Mel from Barangaroo ferry wharf.
Bring a picnic to share with family and friends, including responsible amounts of alcohol. Roll out your rug and settle in for an amazing night. It's a good idea to also bring a torch and radio, so you can listen to the New Year's Eve broadcast.
Visit the NSW National Parks NYE Goat Island website for further information.
Bag searches will be conducted before boarding the ferry. There are limits to what you can bring to Goat Island because of the ferry's restricted carrying capacity. You can bring hand luggage that you can carry on your lap on your trip to the island
Meet at Barangaroo Wharf for ferry marshalling 30 minutes before your allocated ferry departure time.
Ferries depart Goat Island after the event at 9.30pm (after 9pm fireworks) and 12.30am and 1.15am on January 1st 2027
