SUPA LUCIA BRING THE DISCO REBELLION TO NIGHTHAWKS

Melbourne disco-pop outfit celebrate their third single of 2026 with a night of dancefloor mayhem

Melbourne/Naarm disco-pop outfit Supa Lucia are set to bring the glitterball down on Nighthawks on Saturday 5 December, celebrating the launch of their new single 'Demolition Night'.

Inspired by the infamous 1979 Disco Demolition Night in Chicago, the band’s latest release flips one of music history’s most notorious anti-disco moments into a dancefloor rebellion.

Written and produced by Wesley Fuller, Demolition Night pushes Supa Lucia’s trademark disco-pop sound to new heights, pairing infectious hooks and soaring melodies with a tongue-in-cheek take on disco’s fight for survival.

The band’s third single of 2026 continues their mission to bring classic disco energy to a new generation, drawing on ABBA’s larger-than-life hooks and the theatrical pop sensibilities of Scissor Sisters.

Joining the party are ultra-funky groovsters Barefoot Spacemen and Punchbowl, bringing their own jazz-fusion-pop party to the stage. Together, the three acts promise a night of big grooves, good times and a packed dancefloor.

With Demolition Night leading the charge, Supa Lucia are closing out the year in explosive fashion.
