🧵 Learn to Use Your Sewing Machine

Have a sewing machine at home but aren't quite sure where to start? Or perhaps it's been sitting in the cupboard waiting for its moment! Come along to this relaxed, hands-on beginner's workshop and learn the basics of machine sewing.

You'll learn how to thread your machine and bobbin, practise sewing straight lines and curves, and put your new skills to use by making a simple drawstring bag to take home.

No previous sewing experience is needed. This is a chance to build confidence, learn something practical and enjoy making something alongside other locals.

What you'll learn:

How to thread your sewing machine and wind and insert a bobbin

How to sew straight lines and curves

How to make your own drawstring bag

What to bring:

Your sewing machine, including its foot pedal and power cord

A bobbin and thread

Pins and small scissors

Pen and paper for notes

Materials for the project are included. Please bring a working sewing machine so you can practise on your own equipment and feel more confident using it at home.

Come along, have a go, and discover what you can make!
