Join us at The Condensery for a performance by artist Dean Ansell in his exhibition The ground is always wet, the earth is always moving. Dean will also give an artist talk post performance where you can hear about the stories and impastation behind his remarkable work.
Swirling sounds of whistling winds, layered breath, and distant cries, made live by the artist, fill the gallery. Coupled with a Papua Niugini practice of crushing burnt seashells into powder, Ansell will create a dynamic soundscape, retelling the mythology of the south-easterly wind, Avala.
