Lawson Mid Mountains Community Centre - Joy Anderson Room, Sydney

This is a two-day, hands on, experiential workshop of coffin weaving, talking and sharing death, dying and grief stories and education.

Amy Firth will facilitate the death education and literacy component of the event and Zimmi Forest will facilitate & instruct participants on how to weave a beautiful coffin from Cats Claw Vine......his is an invasive species and will be harvested by Zimmi and supplied for this event.

Amy is an experienced interfaith minister, funeral director and deathcare worker. She brings the most heartfelt words and wisdom to all events that she facilitates.

Sat 19th sept; 9:30 - 4pm

Sun 20th Sept: 10-4pm

All materials will be supplied along with morning and afternoon teas/snacks.

Please bring your lunch, an apron and gloves if you feel to. We recommend you wear comfortable, garden type clothing....working with the cats claw can get messy.

There will be the option of a third workshop day to finish the lid and complete the lining. Dates to be confirmed.
