The UTS Comedy Revue and Performance Society acknowledge the Traditional Owners and the land on which the performance will take place: the Bediagal and Kameygal People of the Eora Nation. Sovereignty was never seceded. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land. We also recognise the people of Palestine and the ongoing violence that they are faced and the genocide that is being commited against their people. May they be freed. From the River to the Sea.

Is life even worth living if people aren’t screaming your name?

Welcome to ‘The Idol Show’, and join us as we search for the next hot star of the 21st Century! Are you young, sexy, and blood-thirsty enough to win this competition of a lifetime? Do you miss the bitchiness and cattiness of 2000s media? Then look no further as we pit nine individuals against each other in the name of stardom, riches and all the attention the world can offer. Expect all the sizzling drama of Love Island, the breathtaking vocals of The Voice, the absolutely epic choreography of So You Think You Can Dance?, with a touch of chaotic personalities from Big Brother.

‘The Idol Show: A UTS CRAP Women and Gender Diverse Revue’ comedically looks at the shared human experiences of being a woman or gender diverse individual, all of the highs and lows of super stardom culture, as well as the hottest moments of 2026. Directed by Teagan Nguyen and Lily Grace, UTS CRAP’s 2026 Identity Revue is not a show you want to miss. Playing for a limited run only at Shopfront Arts, Carlton from the 27th to the 30th of October.
