WEDNESDAY 10AM-12:30PM. 4 WEEKS. LEVELS: BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
In these classes you will be introduced into hand building and making practical items that can be used in the home or as decorations.
You will also be slowly introduced to creating on the pottery wheel.
Note: These are short courses. A chance to see if you love working with clay (which is highly likely).
All materials and firings are included in your course fee.
All of our ceramic courses fees include clay, glazes, tools and firings fees.
You will receive an allocation of 4KG of clay for your 4 week course.
• There is a size limit to the items fired, Oversized works will incur a firing fee*
• There is a limit to the amount of glaze to be used (excessive glaze causes damage to our work areas) Repeated overuse incurs a fee due to damage to the kiln equipment.
To Note: Attendees requiring caregiver support must have their support person present for the entire duration of the session. Support persons who wish to make their own work must purchase their own spot in the class.
We still recommend you bring the below personal materials/supplies.
Big towel to cover your legs
Hand towel
Apron
Basic Ceramic Tool Set for continued personal use (Usually these contain a sponge, needle tool, trimming tools, kidney tools ect. You can purchase from most $2 stores or Gordon Harris)
It is not necessary to cut manicured nails unless they are quite long.
