Willow Cloche Weaving Workshop
Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October 1:30pm - 4:00pm
Arrowtown School Hall
Join us for a relaxed and creative hands-on workshop led by Tamar Guse, where you’ll discover the beautiful craft of willow weaving and create your very own garden cloche to take home.
A willow cloche is a woven, bell-shaped garden structure designed to protect young seedlings and a great plant support for flowering Peony, Delphinium and other perennials. Using locally harvested willow, you’ll learn the techniques needed to shape and weave your own cloche from start to finish
These beautiful, rustic structures are not only practical in the garden, but can also provide support for vining plants and trailing perennials. No experience needed.
Please bring secateurs, an apron, a low stool (if you have trouble kneeling) and a vehicle large enough to transport your cloche home.
The workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is limited to 8 students.
