Kibung na Pilai : Community Games Night
Kibung is a word from East New Britain meaning to gather, and pilai is the Tok Pisin word for play.
Join us for a relaxed community games night in Kamberra. Whether you come on your own or with friends, this is a space to slow down, share a meal, play a few games, and enjoy some tok stori. Across the Pacific, gathering has always been an important part of community life. Our grandparents came together over food, games, coffee, or kava, not because there was an agenda, but because spending time together strengthened relationships and created a sense of belonging.
Come wearing your favourite island shirt (optional), bring along a board game if you'd like, and settle in for an evening of connection.
What to expect :
Pizza and light refreshments
A welcoming community space
Board games (or bring your favourite!)
Plenty of time for conversation and connection
Everyone is welcome. Pasifika people, friends of the Pacific, and anyone looking to connect with community.
No workshops. No presentations. No pressure. Just community.
