The Present Moment as a Living Experience
Hybrid Meditation & Dharma Class | Sunday 8 November
Come join us in person or online for a Meditation & Dharma class, where we’ll dive into one of the core elements of Buddhist practice: living in the present moment.
Many of us hear the phrase "be present" so often that it can begin to feel like a slogan rather than something we can actually experience. In this session, we'll slow down and explore presence in a more grounded, practical way.
Together, we'll discover how the present moment becomes real through the body, through breath, sensation, and the simple act of noticing what is here right now. Rather than approaching mindfulness as an idea, we'll explore it as a lived experience that can bring greater steadiness, clarity, and ease into everyday life.
Whether you're joining us at the centre or online from home, you'll be guided through simple practices designed to help you connect with the experience of being fully present.
Guided Walking Meditation
The session includes a guided Walking Meditation, offering a gentle and accessible way to cultivate mindfulness in motion.
Through slow, deliberate walking practice, we'll use the rhythm of the body to develop grounded awareness. For many people, walking meditation becomes one of the most direct and practical ways to understand mindfulness in everyday life.
A Simple Dharma Reflection
Following meditation practice, we'll share a short Dharma reflection on bringing presence into daily living.
These teachings are practical and down-to-earth, offering simple ways to return to immediacy when the mind becomes distracted, busy, or reactive. The aim is not perfection, but familiarity: learning how to recognise the present moment and gently return to it, again and again.
Everyone Welcome
Our Drop-In classes are open, friendly, and easy to join, whether you're attending in person or connecting online.
No previous experience is needed. If you're new to meditation or returning after some time away, you'll find a welcoming space to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
Join us in person or online for this beginner-friendly exploration of mindfulness, presence, and awareness.
All welcome.
