O'Zapft Is! Oktoberfest at GP '26

Fri 25 Sep 2pm - 10pm

Garage Project Leeds Street, Wellington

Welcome to O'Zapft Is! GP's take on Oktoberfest and a true celebration of German culture.

"O'zapft is" is a cry of joy in Bavaria, meaning, "It is tapped!" Traditionally, the Mayor of Munich shouts this as they tap the first keg in the Schottenhamel tent, officially launching Oktoberfest.

They're happy because they're about to enjoy some of the most delicious beers you can get, styles honed to perfection over centuries. And we're bringing that joy to you!

THREE DELICIOUS GERMAN-STYLE BEERS ON TAP ALL WEEK

This year, we've made the most of the extra space offered our new tanks at GP Leeds St to cold-condition three traditional Oktoberfest beers.

All of our GP venues will be pouring these three specialty beers for the week, served in 500ml handled steins and, as much as possible, on side-pour taps:

The headliner is Kopfüber Märzen. Pete is absolutely frothing about this amber lager because we got to actually brew this in March and lager it all through the winter, as tradition dictates.

Sonne Tanken is a German-style wheat beer.

Kleine Maus is a traditional German style Leichtbier, or light beer. Brewed with German malts, Tettnanger and Hallertau hops, delivering delicious clean white bread malt and crisp hop character.
