Step away from the demands of everyday life and give yourself the time, space and support to pause, restore and reconnect.
Nourish & Nurture is a deeply restorative, evidence-based retreat for women navigating burnout, stress, hormonal change, perimenopause, menopause and the ongoing pressures of high-functioning life.
We are passionate about supporting women through the biological, psychological and identity changes that can occur during perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life can affect the body, mind, mood, energy, confidence and sense of self in ways that are often misunderstood or minimised. Our focus is on helping women better understand what may be happening within their bodies and providing evidence-based practices that can be gently integrated back into daily life.

A key focus of the Nourish & Nurture retreat is not only rest and restoration, but also equipping you with practical, sustainable tools you can continue to use in everyday life. You will leave with a deeper understanding of your own stress responses, practical strategies to support nervous-system regulation, and a renewed sense of energy, clarity and self-connection.
Experienced Facilitators
All retreat activities are guided by our experienced facilitators, bringing together expertise in psychology, nervous-system regulation, yoga, breathwork, embodied practice and restorative wellbeing. Sessions are designed to be supportive, accessible and choice-based, allowing participants to engage at their own pace in a calm and respectful environment.
This is not simply time away. It is guided, experiential recovery, designed to help you better understand what may be happening in your body and mind, especially when stress, burnout and hormonal changes intersect. You will be supported to explore practical tools for calming the nervous system, restoring energy, improving emotional steadiness and creating more sustainable patterns of wellbeing.
Our Facilitators
Sue Read
Psychologist
Yoga and bodywork teacher
Director of Life Unlimited Psychology
With more than 25 years' experience in psychology, wellbeing and burnout recovery, Sue is passionate about helping women understand the connection between their mind, body, nervous system and hormones.
Drawing on evidence-based psychology, neuroscience, trauma-informed practice and body-based approaches to wellbeing, Sue helps women better understand the physical, emotional and cognitive impacts of chronic stress, burnout, perimenopause and hormonal change. Her work focuses on making sense of what the body is communicating and developing practical, sustainable strategies that support recovery, resilience and long-term wellbeing.
Sue's approach is also shaped by her background as an elite athlete, including representing Australia as goalkeeper for the Matildas and competing nationally and internationally in athletics and weightlifting. Her experience in both high performance and recovery has given her a deep appreciation for the body's innate capacity to heal when provided with the right support, rest and understanding.
With a warm, practical and down-to-earth style, Sue empowers women to work with their bodies rather than against them. Throughout the retreat, she will guide participants through discussions, workshops and experiential practices exploring nervous system regulation, stress physiology, emotional wellbeing, sleep, energy management, recovery, and the often-overlooked relationship between hormones and mental health.
Sue believes that understanding the science is important, but experiencing it is where real change happens. Her goal is for every woman to leave feeling more informed, more connected to her body and equipped with practical tools to support her wellbeing long after the retreat ends.
