Narara Ecovillage Edible Garden Trail

Sat 26 Sep 12pm - 4pm

Narara Ecovillage, Central-coast

In Spring of 2026, Narara Ecovillage will be hosting its own Edible Garden Trail. This will be a ticketed, self-guided afternoon showcasing home and community gardens growing food naturally.

Ticket buyers can visit the gardens that interest them and plan their afternoon to suit. Garden owners and managers of common gardens will be on hand to show you their gardens and answer your questions.

Our local Trail, inspired by the Edible Garden Trail movement, is being championed by the Ecovillage community. Comments from departing guests in previous years of the Central Coast Edible Garden Trial have included "Inspiring!" and "A tribute to you all!".

This initiative of the Trail is to encourage and inspire people to grow chemical-free food at home by providing a direct connection between new and experienced gardeners, bringing opportunities to share knowledge, and to grow community.

As we head into a potentially challenging El Niño summer, we are reminded that growing food locally improves our food resilience and decreases our reliance on external food systems.

We will have at least 6 individual Garden Hosts in the Ecovillage, and we will also be showcasing our Triplespan Garden (market garden growing area), Mulberry Field and the Scribbly Gum Food Forest. There will also be a plant and seed stall, where visitors will be able to purchase some of the plants featured on the day.

Our coffee cart, NEVille, will be available for food and beverages, and some of our younger members may even be hosting a drinks and cake stall on the day.
