THE NOMAD BRINGS 30 YEARS OF BASS CULTURE TO WELLINGTON

ReGenerate, 30 Year Anniversary NZ Tour After three decades of making music, DJing and pushing Aotearoa's bass culture forward, The Nomad returns to Wellington on Friday 30 October as part of his nationwide ReGenerate – 30 Year Anniversary NZ Tour. Joined by MC Antsman, Josh Buckler on saxophone and William Ricketts on percussion, with immersive visuals from warpTV bringing the show to life.

With support from Module, ANSA, Hexadecimal and Danger.

The tour celebrates the release of ReGenerate, a 16-track album marking 30 years of original music from one of New Zealand's pioneering electronic artists. Beginning with Locust in 1996 and evolving into The Nomad in 1998, his journey has taken in dub, reggae, house, jungle and drum & bass, constantly crossing genres while staying rooted in bass culture and the dancefloor. It's a forward-looking retrospective, built from years of studio experimentation, live performance and a deep connection with the sounds and communities that have shaped Aotearoa's electronic music scene.

For The Nomad, the album is more than a collection of tracks. It's 30 years of sound, experience, experimentation and connection, regenerated for a new generation. The album will receive a deliberately limited physical release, with the full 16-track record available on double vinyl, CD and cassette. The first pressing includes just 300 double-vinyl copies on metallic red vinyl, making it a genuine collector's edition. Rather than putting the complete album onto streaming platforms, only a small selection of tracks will be released digitally. The physical editions are intended to be the definitive way to experience ReGenerate, from the sequencing and artwork through to the complete album journey.

The Wellington show at Meow will bring that history into the live environment, combining The Nomad's signature blend of heavy bass, dub, reggae, house, jungle and drum & bass with a high-energy dancefloor experience.

This isn't just a DJ set. It's 30 years of The Nomad.
