Concert Chamber, Auckland Town Hall, Auckland

An immersive and delicious theatrical experience for the whole whānau!

It’s the grand opening of the noodle stall, ‘Flying Mee Hoon Kueh’ and you’re invited! Join Petra as she cooks her signature noodle dish and shares the story of how it all started.

Petra and her twin sister Jena have dreamed of running their own noodle stall together since they were kids. But their plans begin to change when Jena starts to grow feathers. At first, it’s not a big deal. But then Jena develops a beak, wings, and penchant for watching the sky... Will their dream of making the best noodles in Tāmaki Makaurau turn into a solo flight?

The Girl Whose Twin Was A Bird is a coming-of-age story about twinhood written and performed by award-winning theatre maker Talia Pua.
