The next generation of performers takes centre stage at Platform 2026.

Presented by The Kind Foundation, Platform is one of Canterbury's longest-running youth performing arts competitions, providing a stage for talented young people aged 13–21 to showcase their skills, creativity and passion in front of a live audience. After auditioning, up to 20 finalists will be selected to perform in the live final at the Black Box Theatre in Papa Hou.

This year's competition features two categories: Music and Movement, with performers competing for a share of $4,500 in cash prizes. From singers, musicians and bands to dancers, circus artists and other movement performers, Platform celebrates the incredible depth of young talent in our community.

More than a competition, Platform is an opportunity for emerging performers to gain experience, build confidence, receive feedback from industry judges and perform on a professional stage.
