Stand-up comedy is one of the most challenging forms of public speaking - and one of the most rewarding.

The Funny Coast Beginners Workshop is run by professional working comedians Mick Neven and Nicky Wilkinson, who bring over 35 years of combined performance experience to guide you through your first steps in comedy.

Since 2021, we’ve helped countless Sunshine Coast locals learn the fundamentals of stand-up and build the confidence to get on stage.

This course is perfect for total beginners, anyone who’s been performing for less than a year, or people looking for a new way to challenge themselves.

Even if you don’t plan on a comedy career, you’ll gain confidence, communication skills, and the courage to step outside your comfort zone.

The workshop includes 3 x 4-hour sessions, finishing with a Graduation Show - all at the Black Box Theatre in Nambour.
