Blue-banded Bee Homes & Biodiversity in Moonee Valley

Sat 7 Nov 10:30am - 12pm

Djerring Flemington Hub (Flemington Community Centre), Melbourne

Buzz into the fascinating world of native bees! This hands-on workshop introduces participants to over 1,700 native Australian bee species, focusing on the charismatic Blue-banded bee. Participants will learn how these ground-dwelling bees help pollinate both native plants and garden vegetables—and they’ll create their very own bee home using sand and clay to support these vital insects in their backyards.

Discover the wonders of nature, biodiversity, and sustainability through creative, hands-on workshops that spark curiosity and action. Each session is designed for children and adults and is perfect for school promotion and family participation.

Hosted by PlantingSeeds Projects, a highly respected environmental education organisation recognised for empowering communities through nature-based learning and action.
