American-born tenor Kyle Stegall joins State Opera’s Anthony Hunt for an exploration of Baroque music, moving from Monteverdi’s expressive poetry to Handel’s intricate counterpoint. The programme also ranges through florid tales of mythic heroes and themes of redemption and salvation. Violinist Holly Stegall and cellist Tom Marlin join them on baroque instruments.
