Join me for a hands-on sourdough workshop on the Mornington Peninsula, where you’ll learn how to make your own sourdough bread from scratch in a relaxed and supportive setting.
This 3 hour beginner-friendly class is perfect if you’ve always wanted to learn sourdough but didn’t know where to start, or if you’ve tried before and want more confidence and understanding
Together, we’ll go through the full process step by step from mixing and working with dough to shaping, baking and understanding natural fermentation.
You’ll learn:
How to mix and handle sourdough dough
The basics of natural fermentation and sourdough starters
How to shape and prepare your dough for baking
Simple tips to help you confidently bake at home
You’ll receive plenty of hands-on guidance throughout the class. This is a small-group workshop with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 guests so there’s lots of time for questions and individual support.
All ingredients are provided.
What to bring:
A large mixing bowl and an apron.
What you’ll get:
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with:
Your own dough to bake at home
A basket and cloth liner for your loaf
A mature sourdough starter in a jar
A recipe and notes booklet to guide you at home
You’ll also enjoy a tasting of freshly baked sourdough, along with light refreshments including my homemade sourdough discard blueberry lemon loaf.
This is a relaxed, small-group experience focused on building confidence with sourdough. You won’t just follow a recipe you’ll learn the “why” behind each step so you can bake independently at home with ease.
