Illuminating Glass Plate Negatives From The Ōpunakē Feaver Collection - Taranak…

Wed 28 Oct 4pm - 5pm

Puke Ariki Museum Theatre, New-plymouth

The special project team at Puke Ariki will share insights from their work on the Feaver Collection of 10,000 glass plate negatives from Ōpunakē.

From tractors and prize cows to birthday cakes and wedding parties, this collection is a real slice of rural life between the 1890s and 1940s.

A diverse range of locals are represented in this delightful and comprehensive collection. Join us for the highlights we have discovered so far on our Lotteries-funded cataloguing and digitisation project.
