Visionary songstress Wendy Rule returns to Melbourne for a special concert at Sooki
Lounge, joined by her long-time musical collaborator, percussionist Elissa Goodrich.
Celebrated for her transformative live performances, otherworldly voice, and evocative
albums inspired by mythology, Nature and Magic, Wendy creates immersive concerts
that blur the boundaries between music, ritual and storytelling.
This performance marks a special reunion between Wendy and Elissa, whose creative
partnership spans more than twenty years. Together they co-created Wendy's
acclaimed Persephone album and have shared a rich history of performing and
recording together. For this rare duo performance, Elissa's shimmering vibraphone and
expressive percussion will intertwine with Wendy's soaring vocals and guitar, creating a
rich tapestry of sound.
Originally from Melbourne and now based in the high desert of Northern New Mexico,
Wendy draws daily inspiration from the wild landscapes surrounding her home. This
special concert will feature beloved songs from across her extensive catalogue,
alongside music from her latest album, Meadowlark.
