Nature strip garden design workshop

Sun 20 Sep 10am - 12pm

Copland Room, Ashburton Library, Melbourne

Nature strips are more than just space for your bins on collection day. Nature strips planted with indigenous grasses, ground covers and shrubs create beautiful streetscapes, support local biodiversity and reduce stormwater runoff. To top it off, nature strip gardens also reduce the need for mowing!

In this hands-on session you will have the opportunity to create a basic garden design for your nature strip.

Our presenter, Chloe Foster, author of The Rookie Gardener and co-host of the 3CR Gardening Show, will help you understand:

· Plant selection

· Layout and design

· Permits and considerations

· Ongoing care
