Foundations of Nerikomi is a full day to get lost in colour, pattern and clay.

Open to complete beginners through to experienced makers, we’ll spend the morning together learning how to stain clay, and exploring three Nerikomi techniques: flowers, gradients and basket weave. After a break for lunch, we’ll move into slabs and hand-building, with a long, spacious afternoon to play with your new patterns, follow your curiosity and make your own pieces with plenty of guidance along the way. You’ll leave with a strong foundation in Nerikomi, a collection of new skills to draw from, and the very satisfying experience of spending an entire day making with your hands.
