Every year, Excelsia University College's second-year students create a Theatre in Education production designed for Year 7-10 high school audiences. Before they embark on their school tour, they showcase this production at our Pennant Hills campus.

This year, we're putting a fresh spin on the classics with an original contemporary narrative written by Production Coordinator Hannah Morson and directed by Grace Naoum. Shakespeare Wrapped 2026 weaves together some of Shakespeare's most iconic scenes in a modern story, helping young audiences discover that while the language may be centuries old, the themes and stories remain timeless.

Following the story of Gwen, a struggling young writer and Shakespeare nerd who is trying to find her own voice, Shakespeare Wrapped 2026 explores what happens when a love of the classics becomes a creative roadblock. With the help of her three housemates, Gwen sets out to write a story she can truly call her own. As she navigates love, friendship, and all those young adult things that shape who we are, she begins to discover that finding her voice as a writer means first finding herself.

Shakespeare Wrapped 2026 invites students to see Shakespeare not as something from the past, but as stories that still speak to the world around them today.
