New Australian Feature Film REBOUND preview screening in Brisbane!
Be one of the first audiences to see REBOUND, a hilarious new romantic comedy set and shot in Noosa, before its release on Apple TV, Amazon and Stan.
Hear directly from co-writer, co-director, producer and star Davina May Marr about how she made a completely independent movie, with no state funding, no government funding and no commissioners...and why she decided to "greenlight" herself. Also hear directly from supporting actor Charlotte Stent (Bluey, Sweet River), about why she attached to this indie film and how you can get high profile actors to join your low budget projects.
Hosted by Rita Artmann, co-creator of Toon Sandwich and co-founder of ArtSpear Entertainment, with 3.6 million+ YouTube subscribers and more than 1 billion views under their belt. An award-winning actor, writer and producer, Rita knows a thing or two about building an audience from scratch. She’ll be putting Davina on the spot after the screening for a lively Q&A about making REBOUND independently, exploring how exactly she got it on to Apple, Amazon and Stan, and what comes next.
REBOUND follows Dee, a woman in her late 30s searching for Mr Right through one funny, failed date after the next. If only she could see that her best friend has been right there all along…
Grab your friends and settle in for a cool evening of funny dates, awkward romance, big laughs, beautiful Noosa scenery, and a twist the whole of Australia will soon be talking about until...well...Christmas! Then go behind the scenes to find out how it was all made.
