Canberra Choral Society presents Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Weihnachts-Oratorium), BWV 248, in English. This Come & Sing performance includes Parts 1, 2, 3 and 6: the birth of Jesus, the annunciation and adoration by the shepherds, and the adoration of the Magi. Lily Flynn (soprano), Elizabeth Cooper (mezzo-soprano), Jordan Sarkis (tenor) and David Greco (baritone) join a 160-strong choir, including 80 community guest singers, and a specially assembled professional orchestra. Guest conductor Sam Allchurch directs the ensemble.
