Glenrock State Conservation Area, Newcastle

๐ŸŽจ Wander & Create ๐ŸŒฟ

A nature-inspired creative experience for women

Wander & Create is a beautiful, relaxed experience designed for women who want to get outside, slow down, try something creative and connect with others.

We'll begin with a gentle 30-minute wander through nature, taking time to notice the colours, textures, shapes and little details around us.

Then we'll settle somewhere beautiful with tea, homemade scones and a nature-inspired creative activity, using the surrounding environment as inspiration.

At the completion of the experience, you'll be escorted back to the car park, or you may choose to stay and explore more of the trail at your own leisure.

You don't need to be artistic.

You don't need to know anyone.

And you don't need to come with a friend.

Just come as you are and enjoy a few hours of nature, creativity, conversation and connection.

๐ŸŒฟ What we'll do

Wander โ€” Explore a beautiful natural setting at a relaxed pace.

Notice โ€” Slow down and discover the colours, textures and little details around us.

Pause โ€” Enjoy tea, homemade scones and good conversation.

Create โ€” Turn inspiration from nature into your own creative piece.

Connect โ€” Meet other women in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

๐ŸŒฟ Trail Details

We'll be exploring a beautiful section of the Yuelarbah Track at Glenrock State Conservation Area, rather than completing the full trail.

Distance: Approximately 1.2โ€“1.5 km return

Walking time: Approximately 30โ€“45 minutes, allowing for a relaxed pace and nature stops

Overall experience: Approximately 3 hours including the creative activity, refreshments and social time

Difficulty: Easy to moderate

Terrain: Sealed pathway, timber boardwalk and compacted gravel, with some gentle slopes and uneven sections

Starting point: Yuelarbah Car Park, Glenrock State Conservation Area

Key destination: Flaggy Creek and the bridge

The first section of the Yuelarbah Track provides a beautiful introduction to Glenrock's coastal bushland. We'll take our time rather than rushing to cover kilometres, stopping along the way to observe, photograph, chat and gather inspiration for our creative activity.

We will not be completing the full Yuelarbah Track.

The full track continues beyond the section we'll be exploring and includes more challenging terrain, so our Wander & Create experience is designed around the shorter, more accessible section.

โ™ฟ Accessibility

The beginning of the Yuelarbah Track includes sealed pathway, timber boardwalk and compacted gravel, and NSW National Parks identifies the first 600 m towards Flaggy Creek as suitable for people with reduced mobility.

However, this is still a natural outdoor environment, so surfaces may be uneven and conditions can vary.

If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact me before booking so we can make sure the experience is suitable for you.

๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ A note about the weather

This is an outdoor experience, so please dress appropriately for the conditions and come prepared to enjoy being outside.

Comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended.

If weather conditions make the experience unsafe or unsuitable, arrangements may need to be changed or the event rescheduled.
