The workshop will cover:

Getting started with oils — understanding basic materials, tools and setup

Oil painting mediums — what they do and how to use them

Colour mixing — learning how to mix and control colour

Coloured grounds — exploring how the colour of the surface affects the painting

Underpainting — establishing the basic structure, values and colour

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a practical foundation in oil painting techniques and materials, and greater confidence to continue developing their own work.
