Celebrating 40 extraordinary years on the world stage, legendary soprano Sumi Jo returns to Auckland with Mad for Love, an intimate recital exploring the many faces of love through song.

Acclaimed for her dazzling technique, radiant tone and captivating stage presence, Jo has performed in the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls, earning admiration from audiences and conductors alike. Herbert von Karajan famously described her as “a voice from heaven.”

For this special anniversary performance, Sumi Jo is joined by distinguished New Zealand pianist Stephen De Pledge. Together, they will present an elegant and expressive programme showcasing the artistry, emotion and vocal brilliance that have defined her remarkable international career.
