“All those years forgetting how easily you can belong to everything simply by listening.” - David Whyte
Guided by a certified Somatic Ecotherapy Guide, Arya Padey, this nature-based immersion uses presence, gentle movement and sensory awareness to slow down the nervous system and to connect with something much bigger than ourselves.
The Traditional Owners of this land and waterways have always had a strong spiritual connection with the Birrarung. The banks of the Birrarung is home to countless important birthplaces, ceremonial and burial grounds. Ceremonies were held on its shores, with dancing and singing by firelight.
We honour this lineage of reverence for the Birrarung by creating a space to honour inner deep listening and awareness.
This session will include:
Nature based activities
Gentle wandering (based on given activities)
Embodiment and meditation practices
Optional reflection through sharing circles
No prior experience needed. Come as you are. All parts of you are welcome here.
This event is being generously hosted by Arya Padey, Somatic Ecotherapy Guide.

Yarra Riverkeeper Association acknowledges that the lands and waterways of the Yarra, Birrarung catchment, are the unceded territories of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung and Bunurong Boonwurrung peoples. We pay respect to Traditional Owners, who have, and continue, to care for Country. We acknowledge that the river now called Yarra has always been known as the Birrarung by its custodians.
