A 90-minute musical comedy follows the Grandparent Heroes as they navigate the build-up to Christmas: demanding gift lists, dietary requirements, coordinated family arrivals, Christmas diplomacy and last-minute drama. Amid the chaos, they slip away to support Jimmy Bigelow’s important pre-Christmas event. The production combines family-comedy situations with retro music and Christmas spirit. Lynne McGranger, Wayne Scott Kermond, Andrew James and Leigh Archer star; Archer plays Maria, replacing Meredith O’Reilly, who is unable to appear after becoming unwell.
