At Westerberg High, Veronica Sawyer is one of the overlooked students until the three influential and cruel Heathers draw her into their world. Her new popularity is challenged by J.D., a mysterious teen rebel, and the story turns on the deadly cost of social status. Based on the film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, this musical combines dark comedy with a rock-oriented soundtrack. The production is presented in two acts: Act 1 runs about 70 minutes, followed by a 20-minute interval and a roughly 60-minute Act 2.
