The Roaring Twenties Jazz Orchestra

Tue 22 Sep 6:30pm

Milk Bar, Perth

The Roaring Twenties Jazz Orchestra is a group of outstanding young musicians, predominantly current or recent West Australian Academy of Performing Arts students, who capture the spirit of this music, under the guidance of experienced Perth musician, Phil Hatton.

They bring the dynamic youthful energy which turbocharged the original 1920s music and the highly accomplished musicianship which their studies have given them. They play classic dixieland arrangements and some not so familiar and sound reminiscent of bands such as Bix and his Rhythm Jugglers, Bob Crosby and the Bobcats, King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band, Red Nichols and his Five Pennies, etc.
