Tuesday After School Art Club | Creative Craft in Port Kembla

Tue 13 Oct 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Number 99, Wollongong

Term 4 After-School Art Club

Tuesdays | 3:30–4:30pm | Ages 5–10 years

10 weeks from 13th Oct

A relaxed, creative after-school session where children can experiment with art, craft, construction and mixed media while creating something completely their own.

Each week we explore a different hands-on project using a wonderful mix of art materials, natural treasures, textiles and recycled materials. There is no single “right” way to create — children are encouraged to experiment, make their own choices and let their imaginations lead the way.

Drop-off is welcome, with parents and carers also welcome to stay if they would like to.

A new take-home creation every week

13 October — Foam Clay Creations

Get creative with colourful soft foam air-drying clay. Create animals, characters, dishes or anything you can imagine, then decorate with gems, feathers, sequins and more.

20 October — Nature Collage Picture Frames

Create a beautiful framed artwork using real seed pods, shells, flowers and other natural treasures, combined with artist paste and paint.

27 October — Cardboard Creations

Build, design and engineer your own imaginative creation using cardboard, paint, tape and a whole lot of creativity.

3 November — Mod Podge Paper Lanterns

Design a colourful paper lantern using vibrant patterned tissue paper and Mod Podge. A creative project that really comes to life when it glows.

10 November — Decorated Wooden Crates

Personalise your own wooden crate using paint pens, creative decoupage and your own unique designs.

17 November — Build a Bird’s Nest

Use natural materials to construct your own bird’s nest, then create colourful eggs and a mumma bird using soft foam air-drying clay.

24 November — Mixed Media Weaving

Experiment with a wonderful variety of textiles, threads and materials to weave and layer your own unique mixed media design.

1 December — Christmas Clay Decorations

Create your own Christmas tree decorations using air-drying clay, then add festive details and decorations to make them uniquely yours.

8 December — Design Your Own Christmas Stocking

Decorate and personalise your own fabric Christmas stocking using fabric pens, paint and festive decorations.

15 December — Christmas Nature Wreaths

Create a vibrant Christmas wreath inspired by nature, using festive decorations, ribbons, stars and colourful decorations.

Creative, hands-on and completely their own

Every week, children have the opportunity to explore new materials and techniques, develop their creative confidence and take home something they can be proud of.
