BB & The Bullets bring the Blues to Whitianga

Fri 30 Oct 8pm - 11pm

Monkey House Theatre, Auckland

Fresh from a whirlwind rise that has taken them from Whanganui to the international blues stage, BB & The Bullets are one of New Zealand’s most electrifying live bands. Featuring Brian Baker (guitar/vocals), Stu Duncan (bass/vocals) and Brad McMillan (drums/vocals), the trio delivers hard-driving electric blues with serious firepower. Their sound has drawn comparisons to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter and Jeff Beck, combining blistering musicianship, soulful originals and a stage presence that is loud, tight and impossible to ignore.

Their debut album, High Tide, was released on legendary French blues label Dixiefrog and topped the Australian Roots Music Report while earning international acclaim. Their follow-up, Wrong Side of the River, reached #4 on the Aotearoa Music Charts and will be released globally by Memphis label, Overton Music.

From Graham Reid's review on Elsewhere.com "BB and the Bullets – now with a substantial body of originals behind them and obvious skills on covers – sound like a band going somewhere.

Maybe the States where they now have an important connection in Memphis?

Let's hope so, this is band that could do some serious damage in Memphis, Nashville, Austin and beyond."

BB & The Bullets are no longer just a strong regional live act building a following around New Zealand. They’re in that rare moment where a band is visibly crossing over into something much bigger — and audiences can still see them in an intimate room before the wider world catches up.

This is a band building a formidable reputation both at home and overseas, with a rapidly growing following and live shows that leave audiences astonished. If you love powerful, high-energy blues-rock played at world-class level, get your tickets early.
