The Social Glue of Sydney Collage Meet

Wed 23 Sep 7pm - 10pm

Alexandria Town Hall, Sydney

Each session of the Social Glue is open to all and we encourage new members to try a workshop to see if our model of communal making suits you. We value focussed, 'in the zone' making dedicated to the artform of paper collage, we are not a social group, but rather a gathering of folks interested in carving out time to create rather than converse. Previous skills are not required, we have an ethos that all are equal around the table, and we have members ranging from 7 to 70. The only request is that you respect this is usually the only dedicated studio time that participants have to disappear into making. Fostering an environment of focus and application is central to our reason for being.

Please bring along basic tools for paper cutting if you have them - scissors, scalpel, cutting mat, glue. We have a stash of materials to cut and tear and these are provided free of charge, however contributions to the communal pool of materials are always appreciated and you can also bring along your own materials to work with.
