Harvest Moon at the Historic Ōtaki Rotunda

Step inside one of the Kāpiti Coast's most remarkable heritage buildings for an unforgettable afternoon of timeless Americana, country and roots music with Harvest Moon.

Built in 1916 in Rotorua as a ward for World War One soldiers, relocated to the Ōtaki Health Camp in 1932 to be used as a dormitory for the children, and now being painstakingly restored by a dedicated team of volunteers, the Historic Ōtaki Rotunda offers a truly unique setting for live music. While the restoration continues, audiences have the opportunity to experience this remarkable venue as it steadily returns to its former glory.

Harvest Moon's six-piece lineup features rich vocal harmonies and an array of instruments including pedal steel guitar, accordion, dobro, guitars, piano, bass and percussion. Expect songs from some of America's finest songwriters and performers, including Johnny Cash, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, The Mavericks, Dwight Yoakam, Little Feat, Amazing Rhythm Aces and more.
