Originally formed more than a decade ago, the Joel Jenkins Trio returns from a long hiatus with some fresh new material and a selection of old tunes.

The trio - consisting of Dave Quinn on bass & Tully Ryan on drums - the 3 blend contemporary jazz with the feel and groove of hip-hop.

Drawing influence from the sensitivity and harmonic depth of Brad Mehldau to the Dilla-esque grooves of Robert Glasper, the trio finds its own voice somewhere between the two. Modern jazz that is melodic, honest and deeply rooted in feel.
