Ostara Circle ~ Spring Equinox
This September, we celebrate Ostara — the Spring Equinox — a time of balance, renewal, awakening and new beginnings.
As the wheel of the year turns and we move from the darker half of the year into the light, nature begins to stir. The days grow longer, the earth softens, flowers begin to bloom, and we are invited to consider what is ready to awaken within us too.
This year, we are delighted to bring Red Tent North Canterbury and Waimakariri Silver Tent together for a special celebration of Ostara and the Spring Equinox.
Come and spend some time slowing down, stepping away from the busyness of everyday life, and gathering with other women in a warm and nourishing circle.
What can you expect?
Our Ostara Circle will be a space to honour the turning of the seasons and the balance of light and dark.
Together we will explore the themes of renewal, balance, possibility and new beginnings, with space for ritual, reflection, connection and conversation.
There may be laughter. There may be tears. There may be moments of quiet. There will definitely be women, stories, warmth and connection.
You don't need to arrive with anything to share, and you don't need to have any experience with circle, ritual or Pagan traditions. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels right for you.
This is a co-created space. You might feel called to share your wisdom or a story, or you may simply want to sit back, listen and soak up the atmosphere. There is no expectation to perform, explain or be anything other than yourself.
A little nourishment
You’ll be welcomed with a cup of ceremonial cacao from The Cacao Ambassador, along with a selection of teas.
There will be plenty of comfortable seating, blankets and cushions, creating a cosy and restorative space to settle into.
We also invite you to bring a small plate of wholesome food to share, so we can nourish one another as we gather.
What to bring
A journal and pen, if you enjoy writing or reflecting
A drink bottle or your favourite warm drink
Yourself — exactly as you are
Whether you’re seeking connection, inspiration, sanctuary, seasonal ritual, meaningful conversation, or simply a few hours away from the demands of everyday life, you are warmly welcome.
Come celebrate the turning of the Wheel with us.
Come sit in circle.
Come breathe.
Come replenish.
Come welcome the light.
