MARK SEYMOUR ORCHESTRATED

Celebrating 40 Years of Songs and Stories & the hits of Hunters & Collectors

One of Australia’s most distinctive voices takes centre stage in Mark Seymour Orchestrated, celebrating four decades of songs that have become part of the Australian soundtrack.

Mark Seymour joins his band and a full orchestra, conducted by Ryley Gillen, in a sweeping reimagining of the music of Hunters & Collectors and his acclaimed solo career, with orchestral arrangements by Ross Irwin.

Marking 40 years since the release of the landmark Hunters & Collectors album Human Frailty, the concert features songs including Throw Your Arms Around Me, Holy Grail, Do You See What I See?, When the River Runs Dry, Say Goodbye, The Slab and Still Hangin’ Round.

“The orchestration places these songs in a much larger, cinematic landscape, which brings enormous power to a catalogue that has spanned some 45 years.” – Mark Seymour

Across a career spanning more than four decades, Seymour has written songs about love, identity, place and the complicated business of being human. Here, those songs are presented with new scale, colour and emotional depth in a special concert experience celebrating one of Australia’s great songwriters.
