Dermot Kennedy’s November Australian shows follow his appearance at Sydney’s MISNEACH Festival and support his album The Weight of the Woods. The 14-track album was largely written and recorded near his rural Irish home with collaborator Gabe Simon, with further material recorded in Nashville. Its songs draw on the poetry, energy and strength of Kennedy’s native Ireland. The album includes “Honest,” “Funeral” and “Refuge.” Kennedy previously released the debut album Without Fear, the 2022 album Sonder, and the 2024 EP I’ve told the trees everything.
