About the artist
Rockelle Duffy is a Brisbane-based singer-songwriter and powerful blues and soul vocalist whose music is deeply connected to her own story.
Her musical journey is one of finding the courage to sing her truth. After being inspired by powerhouse singers she saw performing in her twenties, Rockelle began her own public performing journey in her thirties — discovering that it’s never too late to find your voice.
Her original music reflects a deeply personal journey through illness, recovery, mental health and transformation. Through story and song, Rockelle offers a glimpse into the experiences that have shaped both the woman and the songwriter she is today.
Drawing on blues, vintage soul and roots music, Rockelle brings an emotive, storytelling-driven voice to her performances. She began developing her talents as a songwriter alongside the wonderfully talented Brisbane-based female artists, mentors and coaches Emma Dean and Melissa Lathouras, as well as British artist Sam de la Haye.
For Rockelle, music is about more than singing — it’s about connection, courage, honesty and telling stories that come from the heart.
Rockelle will be supported on the night by the wonderfully talented musicians from Ferguson St, bringing together a special collaboration of musicians and storytellers for an unforgettable evening.
