Discover live music in the heart of Whanganui Regional Museum with the Saturday Sounds session.
Held in the Museum’s Atrium, this new Saturday afternoon series celebrates talented local and visiting musicians across a diverse range of styles, creating a relaxed live music experience in the unique surroundings of the Museum.
On 10 October, the Museum will be filled with the sweet sounds of Random Notes, a vibrant acappella group based in Raetahi and Ohakune. Their performances take audiences on a musical journey, featuring traditional songs from England, the Balkans, Europe, Australasia and beyond. Known for their rich vocal harmonies, they mostly sing unaccompanied, although the occasional addition of a cello adds extra depth and warmth to their sound.
Whether you’re discovering a new artist, enjoying live music with friends, or simply looking for a relaxing Saturday afternoon, Saturday Sounds is the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Admission is free, no booking is required, koha is always appreciated. All welcome.
