The Gem, Melbourne

Angel Face // The Breadmakers // Mystery Band //Homemade Space Machine

It’s on again!

Half Baked #2

“It’s not just another gig -it’s a Party!”

To celebrate their 37 th birthday The Breadmakers have once again sent out a call to their

favourite bands from around the world and across the country to join them for what promises to

be the best rock n roll party of the year!

The first band on the Breadmakers wish list were those wild punks from Tokyo ANGEL FACE.

After playing with them in Japan in 2024 The Breadies were so blown away by their wild stage

show that they promised they would bring them to Melbourne – and now, it’s happening!

The Breadmakers have commandeered both the upstairs and downstairs of their favourite pub,

The GEM. With the Sapporo Bar upstairs featuring the moody, twangy, ‘Twin Peaks’-esque

sounds of Homemade Space Machine.

Downstairs, the Breadmakers will be kicking off proceedings at 7pm, followed by the

mysterious Mystery Band. But just who are they? Imagine if you could dream a band into

existence with all your favourite musical influences combined – well that’s what these guys

sound like! We have to keep their identity secret to avoid a riot!

Then Angel Face (featuring members of The Fadeaways, Teengenerate, Firestarter and

more) will tear it up with their patented brand if punk and power pop.

In between bands and into the early hours, international DJ John “Fully Baked” Baker will be

jetting in from New Zealand to spin his fave platters for you.

But this really is a party, more than a gig, so we have free food for you (and presents!)

Award winning Japanese restaurant Chotto Motto will once again be providing delicious

complimentary Japanese snacks.

Plus, every ticket holder gets to take home a free piece of vinyl (7” or LP) or a free CD of their

choice from the huge lucky dip of free stuff (upstairs)

Last year Half Baked #1 sold out in three days. So don’t miss out. Grab your tickets quick from

OzTix only $55 + booking fee. ($65 on the door)

Limited to 120 tickets for the 120 coolest people in town. (Plus, like last year, if you are coming

from interstate ask us about getting a free ticket)

Saturday 21 November, The GEM, Wellington Street Collingwood from 6.00pm
