Clothes & Books Swap – Love Lawson Festival
A FREE COMMUNITY EVENT, PART OF THE LOVE LAWSON FESTIVAL
Saturday 17 October 2026
11:00am–2:00pm
Central Villages Anglican Church Hall
13 Honour Avenue, Lawson (accessible entrance via Benang St, next to Ben's cafe)
The Love Lawson Festival is back on Saturday 17 October 2026, bringing a full day of community, entertainment, local stalls, food, activities and plenty of reasons to spend the day in Lawson.
As part of the festival, join us for a free community Clothes & Books Swap, hosted by Blue Mountains Parents for Climate in partnership with RoseyRavelston Books, Festival of Action (Western Sydney University), Central Villages Anglican Church and Love Lawson Festival.
Bring preloved items you no longer need and go home with some “new to you” treasures.
Bring if you can:
👕 Up to 10 clean, good-quality adult clothing items – all genders welcome
👟 Shoes and accessories are welcome
📚 Up to 10 good-quality books
☀️ With warmer weather on the way, summer clothing is especially welcome
Please don’t bring damaged books, outdated textbooks, encyclopaedias or magazines.
No children's clothing or toys at this swap - please see our website for upcoming kids' clothes and toy swap events: https://www.parentsforclimate.org/blue_mountains
When you arrive, please hand your items to our volunteers. We check people in and weigh incoming items so we can track the impact of our swaps – then you can start browsing straight away.
No token system. Take what you need, give what you can.
Nothing to swap? No worries. Everyone is welcome, no questions asked. We always have plenty to go around.
Community swaps are a simple way to save money, reduce waste, give good things another life and keep useful resources circulating locally.
Stick around and enjoy the whole of Love Lawson Festival, with community activities, entertainment, stalls, food and more happening throughout the day.
Free to attend. All welcome.

Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge that we are living, working and organising on unceded Dharug and Gundungurra lands. We pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians and to Elders past and present. We recognise their continuing connection to Country, culture and community, and that sovereignty was never ceded. We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples joining us at this event. Climate justice is First Nations justice.
