PCWC Youth Writing Group

Sun 11 Oct 2pm - 4pm

Peter Cowan Writers Centre, Perth

Please make sure you have registered your teen up for the group before paying for a session. Once you've filled in the form, these details will be kept on file for the year. You can fill out the registration form here - https://www.pcwc.org.au/pcwc-youth-group

The PCWC Youth Writing Group offers a time and place for creative writers aged 12-17 to gather, learn about creative writing, and share enthusiasm for all things stories. There will be lessons on writing craft, explorations of published stories, writing activities, independent writing sessions, opportunities for feedback, and social time. If you’re a budding writer serious about developing your writing skills and making connections with like-minded people, then this group might be for you.

If possible, participants are encouraged to bring an electronic device for writing on. Otherwise, a notepad and pen are also suitable. Please note: This is not an English class, but a place for young writers to develop their creative writing skills.

The session fee includes light refreshments; however, if participants have specific dietary requirements, parents/guardians are encouraged to provide food and drink to meet these needs. Please notify PCWC of any allergies at the time of registration.
