Backgammon tournament. All players (any level welcome).

This is the 6th year that North Island Champs have been hosted in Raglan.

We pride ourselves on a relaxed tournament which provides for the most competitive/experienced players and those learners and social players.

Set in the beautiful seaside town of Raglan, everything is handy to the venue for a seaside walk, dining or staying.

Ticket is good for all days. Ticket price includes: Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea for Saturday & Sunday.

Standard Swiss Format. Everyone is guaranteed to play 5- seven point matches. The pairings are random in the first match. Players are not eliminated if they lose the first match. No player meets the same opponent twice .Successive rounds match Players with scores as similar to each other as possible. By the 3rd Match Experts are playing Experts, average are playing average and novices are playing novices.

Sept 25th from 3pm to 7:30pm - Doubles - something new, play starts at 3pm. Knockout matches.

Sept 26th from 9:30am to 6pm - Swiss Format

Sept 27th from 9:30am to 6pm - Top sixteen (16) players from the Swiss Format will play Knockout matches to determine 1st 2nd 3rd places.

Clocks will be mandatory.
