COMPLIMENTARY BUBBLES FROM 5PM IN THE BRUNSWICK ARTISTS BAR

Join us for the Australian Folk Music Awards (AFMAs) 2026, a night celebrating the very best in Australian folk music.

Start the evening early with complimentary bubbles from 5pm downstairs at the Brunswick Artists’ Bar, before doors open to the Ballroom at 6pm. Settle in, grab some food and a drink, and get ready for the awards from 7.30pm.

The AFMAs bring together musicians, industry and audiences for a unique evening of live performance, recognition and community.

The awards acknowledge excellence across a wide range of categories - from contemporary and traditional folk to songwriting, multicultural and youth contributions, alongside the award everyone has an opinion on - the People’s Choice Award.

Expect a vibrant showcase of live performances from some of Australia’s finest folk artists, captivating stories, and the presentation of national awards celebrating the richness and diversity of Australia’s folk scene.

Whether you’re a folk music devotee, part of the industry, or simply love great live music in a beautiful venue, the AFMAs are a special night on the national folk calendar.

The Brunswick Ballroom offers an intimate cabaret setting, full bar service and a delicious

food menu. Come earlier at 5PM for a drink downstairs at the Brunswick Artists Bar, enjoy a glass of bubbles and make a night of it.
