The Smokefree Tangata Beats 2026 National Final is a high-energy celebration of original youth music that reflects and honours the unique cultural traditions of Aotearoa. This live event showcases top student acts from across the country, selected through regional competitions, performing songs inspired by and incorporating elements of Māori and Pasifika culture.

The result is a powerful and diverse night of music where cultural identity, language, rhythm, and storytelling take centre stage. Smokefree Tangata Beats encourages young artists to connect with their roots and express themselves through original compositions that speak to who they are and where they come from.
